These easy tips will keep your Reformer in prime condition for years to come.
- Keep your Reformer indoors to keep your springs and the metal elements free from rust and excess dust.
- Don't eat or drink on your Reformer.
- Use a towel to protect your upholstery on fake tan days.
- Wipe down the upholstery after use with a microfibre cloth using dishwashing detergent and warm water.
- Avoid spraying liquid or undiluted detergents directly on to the Reformer. A microfibre cloth will ensure even coverage and prevent product build-up.
- Dust/wipe down the railings of your Reformer once a week to keep the movement of the carriage wheels free from dust and dirt and tracking smoothly.
- When washing hand/ foot loops, handwash and drip-dry. If you want to machine wash, place them in a delicates washing bag on a gentle cycle, and then hang them out to dry (do not tumble dry).
- Every few months, take your carriage off the base of the Reformer and tighten the nuts on the carriage wheels to ensure it continues tracking straight on the rails.
- Rotate through your Reformer springs evenly to ensure they wear well, and you get the longest use out of them.
- When not in use, leave 1x red spring on so that the carriage doesn't move should someone sit/place weight on it. Avoid leaving all springs on as this can wear the tension of the springs faster.
- We recommend replacing springs every few years, but this can vary depending on usage of your Reformer and may be needed earlier (especially if the Reformer is beginning to creak/make noises).
