Reformer Pilates is a great way to support your body both pre- and post-natal, with a focus on low impact and core strengthening movements whilst being kind and gentle on your body. Pilates is a safe form of exercise that can be performed throughout your whole pregnancy and beyond. Pilates focuses on exercises that develop strength, stability, and mobility of the muscles and joints that are responsible for supporting your body from injury and preparing for birth.
We have pre- and post-natal programs focused on consistency of movement, designed and instructed by our team of qualified Physiotherapists and Clinical Pilates Instructors. This ensures you are provided with a safe, progressive way to move your body, whilst targeting the right areas to support your growing bump and recovery.
We strongly recommend that you consult with a woman’s health physiotherapist before embarking on any new exercise methods to ensure the movements are safe for your body and specific requirements. They may also be able to modify or tailor a Pilates program specific to your needs.
